Minutes of the AGM
17th August 2009
There were 13 persons present.
The minutes of the meeting held on 4th August 2008 were read, agreed and signed
by the chairman.
Treasurer’s Report
There was a balance of £1,007 in the bank at the end of last season, savings had
been made this year by purchasing medals instead of cups.
The chairman read out a letter received from Cancer Research UK for the funds
raised on the Arthur Dickens Charity Night, and the secretary also confirmed she
had received a letter from the donkey sanctuary thanking the league for their
donation to the EST. During the season funds have also been raised for the
British Heart Foundation.
It was confirmed by the chairman that the following season’s league fees would
remain the same as last year, ie £66 per team. This amount must be paid by
Christmas.
Election of Officers
It was proposed by Theron Mills and Charlie Ziemann and seconded by Bob Parker
and Kevin Massey that Tom Fry and Val MacGillivray continue for another season
as Chairman/Treasurer and Secretary. All agreed.
Mick Brown has resigned as League Tables Secretary and Theron Mills has agreed
to take over the position.
Registration
Eleven teams registered for the season and all paid their £9 signing on fee.
Cup Matches
Votes were taken for venues for all cup matches and finals’ night. The results
were as follows:

Change of Rules
It was proposed by Charlie Ziemann and seconded by Steve Baker that in an
attempt to get result cards delivered to Theron promptly, the winning team will
now be responsible for sending him the cards either by post or by hand.
The Chairman proposed that the Jack Gardner Cup be played on a separate evening
in future and teams taking part would be the losing teams in the first round of
the Manninon Cup. This was agreed by all present. A venue is still to be
decided.
The Chairman closed the meeting at 2100 hours.
Minutes of the meeting held on
Monday, 30th September 2009
There were thirteen persons present.
Subs were paid and names were added to team lists.
It was agreed that the Jack Gardner Cup will be held at Colyton Club.
It was confirmed that two matches at the start of the season have been postponed
by Eyre Court B due to players on holiday. These matches will be played at a
later date.
Teams were registered for the Mick Brown Shield and the Dick Spiller Cup and the
draws took place for both. The chairman reminded members, that rules state that
cup matches will commence at 8.30 sharp and teams must be registered and ready
to play no later than 8.15 p.m.
Providing the Football Clubhouse is available, Finals’ Night will be on Friday,
14th May 2010. This will be confirmed at the next committee meeting.

Monday, 25th November 2009
Apologies were received from Steve Hayes, captain of the Football Club A team.
There were eleven persons present.The minutes of the meeting held on 30th September were read and agreed.
The date for Finals’ Night, to be held at the Football Club on Friday, 14th May 2010 was confirmed.
Twelve teams were entered for the Bass Charrington Cup and the draw took place.
Kevin Massey, landlord of the Kings Arms, where the Bass Charrington Cup was being played raised his concerns over the amount of space in the bar. It was decided that the first round would be played on two boards in the bar and a third board in the skittle alley. The remaining rounds to be played on the two boards in the bar.
The secretary gave all the captains an up to date book of rules and
the chairman reminded captains that players names could only be taken off their team at a meeting. Some adjustments were made to the Vault A team.
Dave Clarke is now the captain of the Vault C and Kevin Long the captain of Colyton Club
There are three matches between 7th and 21st December when several of the Colyton Club team will be away working and the captains of the opposition teams concerned, ie Kings Arms A, Football Club B and Eyre Court A all agreed to arrange to play on a different day.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FORTHCOMING MEETING HAS HAD TO BE CANCELLED AND A LETTER IS BEING SENT OUT WITH REGARDS TO THE SINGLES AND PAIRS KO COMPETITION.
Minutes of the meeting held on
Wednesday, 24th February 2010There were 10 persons present.
The minutes of the meeting held on 25th November 2009 were read and agreed.
Apologies were received from Bob Berry, captain of the Eyre Court A team and Shaun Jennings, captain of the Vault A team.
The preliminary match in the singles knock out between Colyton Club and Vault C had not been played by the end of January so the match was claimed by the Vault C.
Names were taken of the players left in the singles and pairs knockout championships and the secretary will send a list of the remaining matches to be played by finals’ night to team captains.
The draw took place for the Eddy and Mannion Cup which will take place on Monday, 15th March. The losing teams in the Mannion Cup will play for the Jack Gardner Cup the following Monday, at Colyton Club.
Several team players for Colyton Club will be leaving the area shortly and the team captain requested that they be removed from the team and replaced by new players when the time comes. Normally a player can only be removed from a team at a meeting but all members present agreed an exception could be made under these circumstances. Colyton Club captain will notify Theron Mills or the secretary when the changes taken place.
Steve Hayes, captain of the Football Club A team, suggested that at the next AGM there could be a discussion regarding the Singles and Pairs Knockout Championships all being played on Finals’ Night and not over several weeks as is done at the present.
